With a Surinamese father, an Indonesian mother and born and raised in the Netherlands: being Dutch, feeling Dutch but not always treated as such, Gwen has her lived experiences that fueled her focus on inclusion and fairness. During her almost 20 years of experience in People and Culture in various international companies, she has always been focused on Diversity and Inclusion. Over the past years, leading international teams and currently in her role as Global Head DE&I, she is on a mission to help companies and their leaders understand the power of a diverse and inclusive workforce. DE&I is not only a moral imperative, but also a strong business growth enabler.
